Busan Buzzes with K-pop as the CIRCLE CHART Music Awards 2023 Kicks Off!


The CIRCLE CHART Music Awards 2023 ('CCMA 2023') will be held today (January 10th) at 7PM KST at Busan BEXCO, kicking off a new chapter of K-pop award ceremonies.

The CCMA organizing committee announced that, "On this day of January 10th, artists and industry professionals – the driving force behind K-pop in 2023 – will congregate for celebration in Busan."

This year's ceremony will be hosted by a 3MC team consisting of Leeteuk (SUPER JUNIOR), Sieun (STAYC), and Seok Matthew (ZEROBASEONE).

A varied lineup of artists including AKMU, imase, KISS OF LIFE, NCT DREAM, NiziU, RIIZE, STAYC, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ZEROBASEONE, KyoungSeo, Parc Jae Jung, Lee Chanwon, and HWASA (*in Korean alphabetical order) will be performing at the event.

A spectacular opening performance will be staged by EO-DDAE and MANNEQUEEN, who made notable appearances on Mnet’s <Street Man Fighter> and <Street Woman Fighter 2> respectively.

Furthermore, all industry professionals who have contributed to K-pop's growth in 2023 - including composers, lyricists, performance directors, visual directors, and instrument performers - will be celebrated in the awards.
 
‘CCMA 2023’ is a popular music awards ceremony that will be marking its 13th anniversary this year. Award winners will be selected based on the ‘CIRCLE CHART’ data, which aggregates and compiles official data provided by various Korean and global music platforms, physical album distributors, and social media platforms. To much anticipation, this year’s awards are being held in Busan for the first time.

Presented by CIRCLE CHART and co-sponsored by the Korea Music Content Association and SPOTV, 'CCMA 2023' will be broadcasted live via domestic channels SPOTV and STATV. For areas outside of Korea (excluding Japan and the Middle East region), broadcasting will be available via ‘WishYou TV’ by Viaje Korea. Also, YouTube live-streaming will be available through the '1theK' channel.
